Online Individual Counselling for Adults in british columbia and alberta
Empirically supported psychotherapy approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) will be utilized and tailored to support your individual situation and needs.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a proven effective approach in treating PTSD, depression, phobias, grief, anxiety, and addiction. It is a form of psychotherapy based on existing evidence-based therapies and is shown to achieve benefits more rapidly (usually within 1-5 sessions). ART works to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. This happens through the use of rapid eye movements which are similar to eye movements that occur during dreaming. For more information please contact me or visit www.acceleratedresolutiontherapy.com
Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT) was developed by Harville Hendrix, PhD and Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD. It is believed that we are born in relationship, wounded in relationship, and healed in relationship. Conflict is an opportunity for growth. Using Imago, I work with individuals to understand relationship triggers that may arise from unmet needs on an unconscious level. For more information: www.imagorelationshipswork.com

Coverage Information
In British Columbia, psychologists in private practice are not covered under the Medical Services Plan (MSP). However, many people do have some coverage through their own or a family member’s extended health plan (e.g., Sunlife, Blue Cross, etc). It is best to contact your plan to enquire about coverage for a Registered Psychologist. Some questions you may want to ask:
What is the maximum amount you can be reimbursed in a given year?
Does your plan cover the full amount of the fee, or partial?
Does your plan require that your provider be a Registered Psychologist?
